The SAU On-campus Hult Prize 1st Round Competition

In 2009, Ahmad Ashkar created a company which in time became widely known as the Nobel Prize for students and entrepreneurs. The foundation and its work hold even more significance presently. Now, the Hult Prize 1st round is officially commencing. 

The 1st round of on-campus competition at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) has started through team registrations. This year a staggering amount of 35 teams has registered in the SAU on-campus competition.

Hult Prize Foundation

The Hult Prize Foundation had started its journey based on a single simple principle, to transform today’s youth into leaders who impact the world around them and turn their startup dreams into reality. The Founder and CEO of Hult Prize have stated regarding this, “Solving the world’s most pressing challenges is not just the right thing to do, it is also good business.”

The other two Co-CEOs of the foundation are- Philip Hult and Edward Hult. Along with CEO Ahmad Ashkar, their vision is to enable the world to prosperity through creating startup which turns into established businesses, solving global problems and to provide education and a lifetime of experiences.

Hult Prize 1st Round Officially Commencing

The esteemed Hult Prize business competition has 4 steps. The first one is, “The Campus Round”. The winning team of this round will proceed will be selected primarily for the next step- “Regional Round”. The funding comes from a combined effort of The Bill Clinton Foundation and United Nations (Office for Partnerships).

The 1st round program is on 13th November 2020. The final round is determined to be held on 28th November, 2020. The last extended date of registration was till 29th October. 

The organizers have decided on and announced activities for the upcoming events. They also have arranged training sessions, which have been named “Grooming Sessions”.

Any reputed competition needs sponsors and partners. The on-campus partners of this year’s Hult Prize competition are- The Daily Ittefaq, Smartifier Academy, SAUPS, Kishan Theatre, Upstarters, EMK Center, Greeniculture, Somoy TV etc.
