“The Dublin Conversations” is a public online event. It is going to be hosted by “BetterStories Limited”, which is a Bangladeshi idea agency. BetterStories started their journey on 1st October 2008. Since then they have been organising many events to help the local entrepreneurs.

“The Dublin Conversation” is another effort made by them to provide a little towards building a new future for Public Relations (PR) and Communications. According to BetterStories, The Dublin Conversations is an informal collection of practitioners and academics that has been spanning in varied branches of the communication industries.

The idea of organising this event grew from a meeting that happened in Dublin, in May 2018. Two long-standing PR practitioners, Andy Green and Padraig McKeon work as teachers in higher education who are very interested in new ideas and different ways to do things.

For that reason, they have moderated many conversations, in both personal and online. They have spoken in a number of open events too that held in different parts of the world – Ireland, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

They share their ideas to develop and test public relations and communications. They believe that one can’t patent the Sun, but the path to wisdom can be surely shortened by connecting with people.

Having a conversation with other purposeful people can help anyone to grow and be more confident, capable, and connected – this is what they believe.

Dublin’s Conversations question the traditional conventions of advertising, communications, and public relations. The emphasis on embedding new disciplines into a broad overall framework to create better outcomes.

The conversations they do are building towards the compilation of a “Change Manifesto” for communications. This year, they’ll be joining BetterStories to appear in another session. The Chief Storyteller of BetterStories, Minhaz Anwar would be hosting this event.
