MELBU Presents Future Founders League 

The entire world is going through a dynamic shift right now. Traditional jobs are becoming overpowered, and we can visibly see the effects of income inequality. The drastic changes in our economy have led to more and more people to take up entrepreneurial outlooks.

However, in today’s competitive market, the vague concept of running a business is not going to help entrepreneurs stay in business. Unique, innovative, and creative approaches are seemingly the best shot at achieving success in the turbulent market arena.

More Entrepreneurial Life at Bangladeshi Universities (MELBU) presents its first flagship event “Future Founders League”.  This is a business idea competition that MELBU initiated, dedicated to six universities who partnered up under the platform of MELBU. The Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union is co-funding the event.

•         Champions- Up to 100,000 BDT
•         1st Runner up- 60,000 BDT

•         Each team may have three members to participate
•         Participants must be existing students of any of the six MELBU partnered universities
•         Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students across all departments/disciplines
•         Students are allowed and encouraged to register to form a cross-institutional and cross-departmental team

• Phases of the Competition

Registration- As Future Founders League, presented by MELBU, is an online event, teams must complete their registration online, first and foremost.

Idea Conception- The participants of Future Founders League, presented by MELBU, must present a comprehensive explanation of their venture proposal. This must fulfill the criteria of a particular problem-focused solution. They must also explore the short and long-term effects along with an in-depth proposal of business. The proposal may include product introduction, Target market, a specification which they think can be operational, etc.

Final Pitch- In the final stage of the “MELBU presents Future Founders League” competition, Top eight teams will compete against each other. The teams will be required to assist their venture by providing real-time market survey results, the feasibility of their venture idea, virtual prototype development, or at least a viable product as a proof of concept.
