MBSTU On Campus Hult Prize Competition Final Round Held 

MBSTU (Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University) has held the final stage of the on campus round of Hult Prize Competition 2021. Winner announcement was done after the finale was held. This event commenced fully online.

MBSTU On Campus Hult Prize Competition Final Round Has Been Held

The winning team of MBSTU On Campus Hult Prize Competition 2021 is Team Green Mart. The runners up are Team Green House and Team Rule Breakers. The final was held on 19th December 2021, 7:00 pm local time. The winners were announced on 21st December 2020.

A total of 5 teams were selected for the final from the pitch deck after they submitted their ideas. The teams were- Team Ambitious, Green House, Team Contraption, Green Mart, and Eco Revolution.  Team Rule Breakers entered the final through a wild card.

The teams focused on various issues to build their project and ideas on, based –on the topic for this installment of Hult Prize 2021 challenge- “Food for Good”. They brought in creative and solution oriented ideas for their entries and that shone through their presentations.  

The leader of the winning Team Green Mart, Sabrina Akhter had stated after winning the finale, “Winning at the Hult Prize Competition felt unbelievable. It is tough to describe the feeling of winning the competition. To win anything, perseverance is necessary. We believed that to achieve our goal we must keep working for it. It is a matter of happiness but of a huge responsibility as well. We hope to bring pride for MBSTU as Regional Participant.”

The final round saw a panel of judges, decorated by-

• Mubasshir tahmid- Co-founder and CEO of Tetra; Former Associate, Teach for Bangladesh; first Runner-up of Hult Prize at BUET Finalist, 2018; Hult Prize Kuala Lumpur Regional Summit,2018
• Md. Jahangir Alam- Department of Food Technology and Nutritional Science, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University

This is the second time MBSTU has held an On Campus Round of Hult Prize Competition. The partners of  this event at MBSTU were- The Business Standard,  bangla Tribune, Radio carnival, Channel 24, Upstarters, and Desh Shongbad.
