Probably with three colours- white, black and gold; Facebook set to launch its first smartwatch next year and it is expected to be priced at around $400. Though Facebook still didn’t announce publicly an official name or date for its upcoming offering.
Social media giant Facebook plans to launch their first smartwatch by next summer with two cameras, a heart rate monitor and with a detachable display with cameras for capturing video without your phone. The smartwatch will feature one camera on the top and the other one on the rear. The front camera can be used mainly for video calling whereas a 1080p, auto-focus camera can be used for capturing video footage.
Most exciting part is users can separate these cameras from the wrist to capture pictures/make videos to share with Facebook apps such as photo sharing social media network Instagram, according to The Verge. The verge also reported that the social network giant is also on a hunt for attaching cameras to backpacks to get more consumers.
Users are excited for their new innovation and the giant will be competing against other smart watch successors like apple, Samsung, fitbit etc.
Another exciting part is one can operate this smartwatch without an active internet connection. Moreover, with monitoring heart rate users can also use this smartwatch to connect them to the services or hardware of health and fitness companies.
The smartwatch project is Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s another marketing strategy to design more consumer devices to give tough competition to Apple, Huawei, and Google. The California-headquartered social network is also on a hunt for other firms for attaching cameras to backpacks, The Verge reported.
