Edtech Platform Shikho Acquires Mainly Coding

After the success of acquiring Bohubrihi in the last year (November 2021) Shikho has now acquired a coding platform Mainly Coding. The all-cash deal is the second time Shikho has made an acquisition within less than 3 months, which is a huge deal for the company for the time being.

Edtech platform Shikho acquires Mainly Coding

The platform, Mainly Coding provides an interactive code editor that enables people to put what they have learned into practice without the inconvenience of a setup. To test their abilities, students can use their phones and computers to begin coding in a number of languages. It also includes coding e-books and a problem-solving module, democratizing Bengali language resources.

Shahir Chowdhury, the Co-founder, and CEO of Shikho stated in a press release,

“We’ve been busy developing several unannounced products as we continue to enrich the most advanced and comprehensive, hyper-localized digital learning ecosystem in Bangladesh. The Mainly Coding platform, therefore, helps accelerate our strategy and immediately delivers more value for our learners.”

Shikho has received $1.6 million in funding from a number of international venture capital funds and is set to announce yet another big fundraising round soon. This merge has raised the bar for other companies in the industry. We can hope for great things from Shikho and Mainly Coding in the near future.
