Leading media company Forbes announced yesterday in their sixth annual list of the “30 under 30 Asia 2021”, that nine brilliant entrepreneurs have earned their spot in the renowned listing. The young entrepreneurs have been listed under 3 categories, which are: Social Impact, Enterprise Technology, Retail and E-Commerce. During the pandemic, the global economy has taken a serious hit. The featured youth in this list have ventured during these tough times in finding opportunities and braving the challenges.
9 Bangladeshi Youths Listed on The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List
The individuals who have earned these spots have remarkably ventured their projects and startups and have shown immense impact already. In this year’s selection, they have all been picked for their contribution and impact during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The nine young entrepreneurs are- Shehzad Noor Taus Priyo and Motasim Bir Rahman (cofounders of Gaze), Mir Sakib (founder of Cramstack), Shomy Chowdhury and Rijve Arefin (cofounders of awareness 360), Ahmed Imtiaz Jami (Founder of OBHIZATRIK Foundation), Rizvana Hredita and Md Zahin Rohan Razeen (Cofounders of Hydroquo+), Morin Talukder (Cofounder of Pickaboo)
Under the social impact category, the members of Awareness 360, HYDROQUO+ and OBHIZATRIK Foundation have been listed. Awareness 360 has been recognized by UNDP, environmentalist international groups. They have done excellent social impact work by initiating workshops on water-filtration systems, hand washing and hygiene.
HYDROQUO+ is a genius AI based startup that helps in improvement and development of water management systems. They work with water -quality modelling and analysis. This company has worked with NGO’s as well as government agencies, having a perfect track record.
Obhizatrik foundation works with some of the major SDG goals like- health & nutrition, environmental issue, human rights, poverty alleviation, educational outreach, etc. They have reached out to people living under the poverty line and have set up free education programs, free treatment and supported SME businesses. They also offer grant programs.
Under the Enterprise Technology category, Gaze and Cramstack has been listed. Gaze is an AI startup firm founded by Shehzad Noor Taus Priyo and Motasim Bir Rahman. The company develops visual recognition tech focused on online transactions. According to data, they provide online checkouts which are claimed to be frictionless and hassle-free. They have won awards like Startup World Cup Bangladesh, 2020 & Best Startup from Bangladesh Best Innovation Award, 2019.
Cramstack is also an AI tech-based startup company. This developed system offers automated information extraction. This information is extracted from unstructured data collections and this offers insight into businesses, has extraction and processing tools as well. Major hotshots like UNDP, BCG and government offices have started using their product.
Pickaboo has earned recognition for its delivery services, EMI plans, and membership programs. The Retail and E-Commerce category has rightly taken the company under the enlistment. The company is planning structure on developing physical showrooms and stores.
The latest Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2021 list is an example of the youth and the potential this generation holds in being the successors of the new world. They have shown the world that against all adversities- persistence and good will can help you achieve and dream even further for a better world. In this latest list, 30 individuals have been honored for 10 categories (Arts; Healthcare & Science; Finance & Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Entertainment & Sports; Retail & E-Commerce; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Enterprise Technology; Social Impact, and Consumer Technology)
